Using hand sanitiser regularly (with an alcohol content of at least 60%) is recommended by the World Health Organization. Soap and running water may be the most effective way to remove chemicals and germs – the scrubbing creates friction that helps lift dirt, grease and bacteria. The UK government announced new restrictions to help control the spread of COVID-19. The new restrictions took effect from the 14th September. • Wear a face mask or covering indoors where social distancing cannot be maintained, such as public spaces. Face masks help prevent widespread community transmission and are a key tool in the fight against COVID-19.
• Maintain at least 2 metres apart from people you do not live with, or 1 metre with social-distancing products in place (such as face masks or indoor ventilation). Why? When someone speaks or sneezes small liquid droplets escape from their nose or mouth. These droplets may contain the virus.
